ALEX CASNOFF
Alex Casnoff began his relationship with music at the age of 4, studying piano and free-improvisation jazz. While attending New York University, Alex joined an Americana band called Dawes, where his focus was on piano compositions. In 2010, Alex left Dawes to embark on a solo project, Harriet, which drew influence from Paul Simon, Radiohead and Talking Heads. The project was soon signed to Harvest Records, and the band went on tour, performing alongside a number of acts, including Edward Sharpe and Spoon. When Harriet disbanded after 6 years of recording and touring, Alex shifted his focus to the advertising world. Creating an original composition for a national Stella Artois ad campaign, as well as producing music for Nike, and other clothing brands. In addition to his songwriting and composing, Alex has previously played keyboards for Passion Pit and is a writing collaborator of RL Grime.
